Instructor Lomelino uses Camtasia©
Joshua uses Camtasia© to capture lecture materials inside and outside of the classroom. He has found that teaching multimedia and programming is a dynamic and interactive process, requiring many finite steps that must be followed exactly. For technology-based courses such as Flash and Multimedia, Camtasia© provides the ultimate marriage between printed and spoken material. It allows students to "watch a book" so to speak and follow along at their own pace. If a concept went by too fast they can rewind the video and re-watch as many times as needed. The video tutorials are made available as external links through Blackboard so students can log in from school or home and watch the videos as needed. As a result, more material can be covered, in a manner that is methodical, thorough, and effective. Joshua Lomelino teaches multimedia and programming classes in the Business Department.
